Sauteed Pineapple


  • 1 pineapple

  • 2 tablespoon butter

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

  • Cutting board

  • Chopping knife

  • Small frying pan

  • Spatula

  • Pineapple corer (optional)

  • Tablespoon

  • Teaspoon


  1. Cut the top off the pineapple.  Place the pineapple corer onto the pineapple and push downward. Twist corer until it is at the bottom on the pineapple.  Pull the corer up and out of the pineapple

  2. Note: If you do not have a pineapple corer, you can skip step 2 and use a knife to cut the outer skin off the pineapple, cut out the core (center) and then cut it into bite size pieces

  3. Remove pineapple pieces from corer and cut into bite size chunks

  4. In a small frying pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add in chunks of pineapple

  5. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of brown sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon onto pineapple. Stir together in pan and cook on high heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently

  6. Remove from heat. Serves well with ice cream if desired
