
Pasta Shells in Tomato Sauce
Ingredients:

1 cup of pasta shells

½ cup of pasta sauce

1 slice of whole wheat bread
-
2 cups of water
* You can use gluten free pasta and/or meat sauce if so desired

Instructions:
-
Fill pot with two cups of water and place on stove, while turning heat to high setting and bringing water to a steady boil

Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and add 1 cup of pasta

Stirring occasionally, allow pasta to cook for 10-12 minutes until preferred tenderness

While pasta is cooking, pour ½ cup of pasta sauce into medium sauce pan

Place medium sauce pan containing pasta sauce on small burner and set to medium heat, stirring occasionally. Allow sauce to come to a simmer

Once simmering, turn off heat and cover with lid; leave sauce pan on burner until pasta is ready

Once pasta is cooked to your liking turn burner off

Place pasta strainer in sink

Remove pot from burner and bring over to sink. Pour pasta along with water from pot into strainer and allow all the water to drain

Scoop pasta into bowl and add pasta sauce
